David Ward's referral marketing strategies have helped thousands of attorneys get more clients and increase their income. Now, he is helping people from all walks of life create passive income and time freedom through network marketing.
"Time freedom" is the way David Ward defines success today. "It's having money and the time to enjoy it," he says, "and that only happens with passive income."
David's first career, as an attorney, provided a good income, but it wasn't passive income. Long hours and constant stress over a twenty year period left him burned out and looking to make some changes in his life. "I was a victim of the self-employment trap–trading my time for dollars. The bigger my practice grew, the harder I had to work," he says. "But I was stuck. I made too much money to quit but not enough to retire."
While he was still practicing law, David started a publishing company and sold a referral marketing course he had written for attorneys. Thousands enrolled in the course, in over a dozen countries, generating millions of dollars of sales. But as the business grew, so did the headaches. "I was spending a fortune on advertising and overhead, and while I was making good money, I still didn't have time freedom," he says.
It was in his third career that David found what he was looking for. "I'd always liked the idea of network marketing because of the leverage and residual income," he says, "but I could never find anything that was a good fit for me. I tried a few opportunities, but as much as I wanted the benefits, I decided network marketing wasn't for me."
That all changed when he found a company that, he says, "fit me like a glove."
David started his network marketing business part time, and in a few years, built an international organization with thousands of distributors and a six-figure passive, residual income. "Passive income has been a dream come true for me and my family," he says. "The money comes in month after month, year after year, whether I work or not. If you don't have any passive income right now, I highly recommend you get some."
David has been recognized as one of the top recruiters in his company. He is a frequent speaker, training hundreds of lawyers at an American Bar Association convention, and over 13,000 distributors at his network marketing company's convention. He has been interviewed on radio and in print, written hundreds of articles, and is currently writing a book on network marketing.
David continues to build his network marketing business from his home in southern California. He specializes in working with professionals and small business owners. "A lot of professionals are trapped in their careers, like I was," he says. "I show them what's possible and if they are ready, help them to get passive income and time freedom."
But David says that someone's background isn't as important as their motivation. "I look for people who have a burning desire and are willing to go to work," he says. "If they have that, I can teach them everything they need to know."
